Qualmounts

Hi All, Any of you good folk tried the Qualmount hi way foot peg products or have an opinion on them?
TIA, Stevo
Hi Steve, while I have not used them, they look great. I added a similar design forward foot peg to give an alternate position for my old knees when I toured Ireland, UK, Scotland. Just something to stretch out the knees.

Hi Bob, Yeah, that’s exactly what I’m looking for. A workable way to make the bike more comfortable to ride for more than half an hour.

If you can only ride your bike 1/2 hr till you get uncomfortable, then your bike is not set up for your comfort, every bike new or old needs to be set up for each rider.
Exactly so Ashman. I’m 5’10”, 32” inseam & 75kg. Recently rode 16 days straight, Italy & back, 4-6 hrs a day and could have easily turned right around and done it again; Corbin Gunfighter a major contributor for me along with Euro bars and stock pegs; most comfortable bike ever for me.

My "halfway rearsets" (home made, 4" further back) match me and my gunfighter perfectly. Tiny bit taller and heavier than you Simon. Then again, the Interstate tank is 4" longer than the Roadster (peanut) tank.
That 4" also suits me leaning a bit forward on the shortened western bars. 1.3 kg of lead shot in those bars is a good aid to comfort (makes the mirrors clearer too!)
Cheers

I'm also 5'10", 32" inseam & 75kg. On a standard Commando Interstate seat, with my wife and camping gear on the back, I once managed to ride from Southern Italy to Blackpool in 24 hours - a distance of 1,000 miles. 45 years later I still find the bike fabulously comfortable, but usually do about 250 miles per day, and have the saddle to myself :)

Have not seen a pic of these but if the clamp to the forward downtubes, beware that i have seen a few frames (my own bike included) with crushed and or twisted downtubes from dreaded previous owners running highway bars. The tubes are not very thick and cannot take much side loading.

Thanks for the heads up Tornado. Have heard of big problems caused by clamping on said down tubes you refer to and this has put me right off clamping on them. My thoughts are that the Qualmount system could possibly clamp on close to the welded on isolastic flange and with the range of component sizes and adjustability available, they may well work.
